A powerful storm system approaching Ireland and the United Kingdom on Friday will bring the threat of damaging winds and downpours.
The cold front will rush from Ireland and Northern Ireland Friday morning into Scotland, Wales and much of England by the afternoon.
Ahead of and during the frontal passage, winds over 40 mph will be possible along with a period of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Flooding will again be a concern as heavy rainfall falling on already saturated ground can quickly renew flooding problems.
